The details

What it is
Australian macadamias in the shell. The shells are already cut, and every resealable pouch has a nut key: insert it into the cut, twist, and the shell comes off. No nutcracker needed.
Choosing between pre-cut, uncut and kernels? Pre-cut vs uncut: our in-the-shell guide.
The macadamia is native to Australia, and one of the few Australian native plants grown as a major commercial food crop.
Roasted and salted, or vanilla. In resealable 200 g and 500 g pouches, because macadamias are about 75% fat and go stale faster than harder nuts once a bag is open.
Australian grown. Certified Australian Made.
Allergen information: contains tree nuts (macadamia). The full ingredient list, nutrition information panel and best-before date are printed on the pack.
Tip: take them out of the fridge twenty minutes before serving. The fat firms up when cold and mutes the flavour.
200 g · $14.99 | 500 g · $24.99

Australian Macadamias
Good to know
Where are the macadamias grown?
In Australia. The pouch reads "Made in Australia from at least 99% Australian ingredients" and carries the Australian Made logo.
How do I open them?
Each shell is already cut. Slide the nut key from the pouch into the cut, twist, and the shell opens.
What's the difference between 200 g and 500 g?
Only the amount. Both are weighed in the shell. Every ticket shows the price per 100 g, so the two sizes compare straight.
What allergens do they contain?
They're tree nuts. The Vanilla pouches also contain milk, and the Roasted & Salted may contain milk. Check the pack before buying for someone with an allergy.
How long do they keep?
Two years from packing. The best-before date is printed on the pouch. Keep it somewhere cool and dry, and reseal it after opening.
Can I take them on a plane?
They're not a liquid, so they go in carry-on on flights within Australia. Flying overseas, check the food rules of the country you're landing in, because some restrict nuts.
